Christopher Johnson is the owner and founder of Johnsonese Brokerage LLC, an independent insurance agency serving Technology, Entertainment, and Creative businesses and their owners. Johnsonese Brokerage is based in Chicago and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023. At Johnsonese, Johnson has helped tailor insurance solutions for hundreds of businesses across the country. Johnson holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BBA from the University of Toledo. Prior to founding Johnsonese, he worked for 15 years for Fortune 500 companies in financial and planning positions. His final corporate position was managing a strategic venture capital fund for Ford Motor Company. The fund primary invested in software technologies. Johnson has served on the board of directors of three technology companies. He was also interim CFO for a startup that was successfully sold to an international buyer. On the nonprofit side, Johnson is a past board member of the Independent Filmmaker Alliance Chicago and past president of the Michigan Ross Alumni Club of Chicago. Johnson has guest lectured at Bowling Green State University, DePaul University, Columbia College, Harrington College of Design, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
